Join us Wednesday, April 16, at 4 p.m. for a presentation about Indian Bollywood actress Pramila (Esther Victoria Abraham), her impact, and her legacy. This event will feature original research by Manjari Mukherjee.
Manjari is a CHAT fellow and the recipient of the AJS (Association for Jewish Studies) Scholar of Color Fellowship. A PhD candidate in the Department of Theater and Performance Studies at Tufts, she is completing her dissertation titled "Yahudi Ki Ladki (Daughter of a Jew): Jews on the Indian Stage and Screen from the 1920s to the 1950s." She is the co-convenor of the Performance in/from the Global South Working Group at the American Society for Theatre Research (ASTR) and co-founder of the Graduate Humanities Circle at Tufts.
