Join us on Thursday, November 20 to hear Rachel Tang share a chapter from her dissertation, "Beverly Buchanan's Models of Black Education."

Rachel M. Tang studies the history and theory of socially engaged art practices, with a particular interest in artists who touch upon issues of pedagogy and ecology at Harvard University in the Department of History of Art and Architecture.

Before coming to Harvard, Rachel received her B.A. in Art History from the University of Southern California. She has worked in arts administration and museums, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. Her work in art criticism can be found in ArtReview.
