Tour of Tufts Pollinator Initiative Sites, and Open Discussion of their Future, 9/25
48 Professors Row
Beginning as a research project of graduate students and faculty in the department of Biology, the Tufts Pollinator Initiative has been a key network of sites for creating and imagining a more diverse university landscape. Stewardship of the TPI gardens has recently shifted to a group of faculty and students drawn from across the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. While we are very dedicated to maintaining the original vision and gardens of TPI, we are also eager to explore ways to expand this ecological project to other domains beyond pollination. Please join us for a meeting and discussion on the future of the TPI project. We will do a brief tour and discussion of one site, and then host a casual brainstorm on potential paths for remaking university ecologies. Open to all students, faculty, and staff. No gardening experience necessary, just a willingness to share what kind of campus landscape you would like to see.
No RSVP required. Show up when you can. If you require assistance to attend, please contact Alex Blanchette (alex.blanchette@tufts.edu), Blythe Elderd (blythe.elderd@tufts.edu), or Tatiana Chudakova (Tatiana.chudakova@tufts.edu).
Sponsored by the University Ecologies Project.
