CHAT is excited to partner with the Department of Romance Studies to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and present Variedades, an all-day festival celebrating Hispanic Heritage that will take place on Saturday, October 3, and includes:
An energetic, dance-fitness Zumba class led by Colorfully Fit by Chela to help you groove, sweat, and stay active.
Performances by university clubs and student groups, highlighting music, dance, and other forms of collective artistic expression connected to Hispanic cultures.
Two workshops:
“Body and Voice Latin Rhythms”, led by Rosi Amador, singer and percussionist of the acclaimed Latin American music group, Sol y Canto.
“Instrumental Latin Music”, led by Joel Larue Smith, Teaching Professor of Music and Director of the Tufts Jazz Orchestra.
A panel discussion: “Historias de TUPIT”, conversations with TUPIT graduates about higher education, community, and reentry.
A selection of traditional finger foods celebrating the diverse flavors of the Hispanic world!
