reading group at the CHAT conference table

In Spring 2026, the Anti-Caste Reading Group hosted their discussion groups at CHAT. Their discussions centered around the work of B. R. Ambedkar, whose work continues to shape critical conversations on caste, democracy, and social justice.

The group shares this reflection:

We are grateful to everyone who contributed to a rich and engaging semester of collective reading and discussion. Looking ahead, Rohit Rajak and Chellamal Keshavan will serve as co-chairs for Fall 2026, and we look forward to continuing these conversations in the coming year.

The group remains open to faculty and graduate students, and we look forward to welcoming both returning and new participants. A formal invitation and additional details for the upcoming semester will be shared in early fall. More information about future events will be available in the beginning of the fall term. Sign up for the CHAT newsletter for information about future events and registration.
