Please join the Tufts Music Department for the year-long celebration of the opening of the Granoff Music Center, including a wide range events featuring faculty, performing ensembles, community music programs, and many special guests, with some highlights below.
Fall Colloquium Series (all events on Mondays at Noon in Room 155; luncheon reception follows in the lobby)
- October 26: The “Making Of” the Perry and Marty Granoff Center: A Behind-the-Scenes Special Colloquium starring Profs. Jane Bernstein, David Locke, Janet Schmalfeldt, and Jeffrey Summit, along with Michael Rogan, former Director of the Lily Music Library, and Larry Bacow, former President of Tufts and Harvard Universities. This will be coordinated with a Music Library Exhibit (physical and online) on the building design and construction.
- Nov. 23: Terri Lyne Carrington (Berklee), Grammy Award-winning drummer and composer, 2026 Honorary Doctorate recipient.
- Dec. 14: Katherine Bergeron, noted musicologist, former faculty member and president emeritus, Connecticut College

- Oct 21: Khmer Urban Ballet, Cambodian American Artists, organized by Stephanie Khoury, organizer, Khmer Urban Ballet, Cambodian American Artists
- Nov 8: John McDonald, “Compositions, Improvisations, Comprovisations, Imprositions for, by, and with Colleagues, Friends, and Former Students Celebrating 36 Years at Tufts,” November 8
