CHAT Fellow Seminar: How to Enjoy Music Like a Stoic, with Melinda Latour
48 Professors Row
All are welcome to join us on September 25 at 4 p.m. for a special presentation by Melinda Latour, CHAT Faculty Fellow from the Department of Music. This event will be held at Fung House (48 Professors Row). Refreshments will be served.
Melinda Latour's research centers on music and Stoic philosophy in early modern France. She is also interested in music jurisprudence, tone and timbre in popular music, and Mexican music cultures. The common thread connecting these diverse interests is a fascination with music as a therapeutic and transformative communal practice, particularly in moments of social or political upheaval. You can read her full bio at the Tufts Music Department site.
This event is open to all. For questions, contact humanities@tufts.edu.
