Film Screening: Admissions Granted, 2/6
The Center for the Humanities, the Department of Sociology, and Tisch Library invite you to a special film screening of Admissions Granted, followed by a discussion with Miao Wang and Hao Wu, the filmmakers (along with TUfts affiliates).
The film addresses a timely and critical issue for Tufts' campus: affirmative action. The filmmakers focus on Asian Americans in the US Supreme Court case. This has been an issue that has come up multiple times in my courses on Asian Americans, education, and meritocracy. There will be a screening followed by a panel consisting of the 2 filmmakers, 1-2 students, and hopefully Tufts' director of admissions, JT Duck (he's checking his schedule).
All are welcome. For questions, contact natasha.warikoo@tufts.edu.
