The Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies, in co-sponsorship with the Tufts Music Department, the Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and CHAT, invites you to a special lecture and performance by DC's Queen of the Blues, Carly Harvey.

With a fusion of history and performance, Carly engages audience in the Origin of Blues. Beginning with Native American melodies, audiences will embark on a journey of how Blues was created from African American experiences pre- and post-Civil War, how it has evolved over the years, and how it influences modern day music.

This event is open to all. No RSVP is required. For questions contact: lilian.mengesha@tufts.edu
