Slavery, Colonialism and their Legacies Symposium held at Tufts Dental School
On November 8th, the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy, along with the History Department, the Center for the Humanities at Tufts, the Tufts Archival Research Center and the Office of the Provost hosted a symposium at Tufts Dental School in Boston, to introduce the Slavery, Colonialism and Their Legacies at Tufts (SCL) Project.

The Center for the Humanities at Tufts offers three research fellowships each academic year to faculty in the School of Arts and Sciences at Tufts who are engaged in humanistic scholarship or artistic creation or criticism. Tenured faculty, tenure track faculty, and professors of the practice are eligible to apply.

Tufts Joins NHA
The National Humanities Alliance works to bolster undergraduate humanities enrollments, promote public engagement with the humanities, and increase funding for the humanities. Their work includes collaborating with Universities to understand the humanities are facing, advocating for the value of the humanities on the national stage, and bringing together higher ed professionals with representatives from scholarly societies, community organizations, and state humanities councils in support of the humanities. Tufts is delighted to join the NHA for the 2023-24 academic year.
